Chinmaya Yuva Kendra to Stage "Bharathi Yaar?" - A Drama on the Life of Subramanya Bharathi


Chinmaya Yuva Kendra, Coimbatore, is proud to announce a special drama titled "Bharathi Yaar?", a compelling stage production on the life, spirituality and revolutionary spirit of the legendary Tamil poet, writer, Social reformer and freedom fighter Subramanya Bharathi.

The event will take place on Saturday, 12th July 2025, at 5:00 PM at the APJ Abdul Kalam Auditorium, Hindustan College of Arts & Sciences, Coimbatore.

This stage show depicts the transformation of Subramanya Bharathi to a spiritualist and freedom fighter whose words ignited the spirit of nationalism and social reform during India’s freedom movement. Through powerful performances, stirring dialogues, and immersive storytelling, "Bharathi Yaar?" seeks to bring alive the poet’s indomitable voice against oppression and colonial rule, while celebrating his timeless contributions to Tamil literature and Indian thought.

Chinmaya Yuva Kendra (Chyk), the vibrant youth wing of Chinmaya Mission empowers young people to explore Vedantic wisdom through its guiding principle: “Harnessing Youth Potential through Dynamic Spirituality.” Chyk offers an enriching blend of philosophical study, experiential learning, leadership training, creative expression, and social impact, helping youth discover and channel their potential effectively and meaningfully.
