 Kshatriya Style Veshti

The world changes every moment. Though we are in the modern age where airplanes have replaced birds and cars have replaced walks, we still look at our tradition with an awe and excitement. We become still and amazed on going through our traditional practices and astonished at how their minds worked. Now, we are trying to revive our own ancestral conventions and relive it. Sadly, this was not what was happening few generations back. We practiced colonial ways even in post-colonial India. Come on, it’s time for us imitate our forefathers and commemorate our past.

“Let’s not simply wear Veshti, let’s wear the Kshatriya style!”

Steps to Wear a Kshtriya Style Veshti:

1. A double-veshti is  commonly used for wearing this style.

2. The person who is going to wear the veshti should stand in-between the two halves making it proportionate.

3. Then a tie a knot in the close-to-hip center region.

4. Take one half of the loose end and bring it behind by passing between the legs tightly.

5. Now, bring the end which is passed between legs to the front.

6. Make pleats completely at the top end and tuck it behind. (The other hanging-end will be dealt after other steps.)

7. Follow the same procedures for the other half.

8. Bring the hanging-ends of both the halves to front side.

9. Finally, form pleats and tuck both ends to the front.
