Lord Dandayudha Paani was always given a Panchaamrutham bath. This holy medical Navapaashanam would be transferred to the Panchaamrutham. Consuming the holy Panchaamrutham has been good for the body and soul. Therefore, Panchaamrutham has become an important offering in all the temples connected not only with Lord Muruga but with other deities also.
