Why 'Operation Phoenix' is the Techno-Thriller Bharat Needs - A Book Review

Well, I know this book review is a tad bit late, but where the book is based on the timeless wisdom enshrined in the tenets of Sanatana Dharma combined with the steady transformation of India i.e. Bharat into the civilisational power that binds the world together at this crucial quarter of the century ... .There is no better time to share this book review.

And don't worry, there won't be any spoilers!

The book ‘Operation Phoenix- Bharat Protocol’ authored by Shri Jagannathan S. and published by is set in a fictional storyline where Bharat walks a political tightrope in a century immersed in exploitative friction and chaos created by the dominant players of the world. Where trigger happy superpowers wish to cling to the outdated ideas of Empire, Bharat follows its Dharma to bring peace, prosperity and progress in a world increasingly out of balance.

The author brilliantly weaves pace, suspense and Dharmic principles in a futuristic yet possible scenario inspired by reality. Where power is the language, greed is the norm and vice is the way of life…Bharat heralds a new age as a ‘cooperative superpartner’ instead of the exploitative superpowers that have plunged the world into chaos and inhumanity.

In this techno thriller, Bharat emerges as a beacon of soft power backed by its technological developments and Dharmic principles of discipline. Despite the plot’s racy style of storytelling, it is an intensive page turner, simple to read which shows the author’s efforts to ensure his reader’s thorough reading experience.

In his bid to give the reader the high stakes feel that fills these racy thrillers, the author doesn't sacrifice important details that drive the plot. Further, the book clearly highlights the shades of grey that colour the corridors of power instead of painting the world in abject black or transparent white. From leaders standing at the top of the world to average citizens living in Bharat’s cities and villages, everyone has a role to play, a Dharma to follow, to contribute to India’s rise while staying rooted to Bharat’s civilizational ethos that has thrived for millennia.

Characters coloured by personal motives, guided by patriotic values and driven by zealous fervour, fill the pages of this book, causing us to assess our nature and where we stand in and with our nation.

Personally, I finished the book in two days and started scouring its pages on the very day I bought it. If you want to read an original thriller with an original plot by an original author, I would heartily recommend this book to you.

While this review isn’t as extensive as the other articles I have written, that is because if I write anything more, I risk dropping spoilers! So, if you want an original reading experience, do purchase Operation Phoenix- Bharat Protocol by Shri Jagannathan S. ji and published by the stellar Subbu Publications. It is worth it!
